Notes from the Publisher, Ron Papandrea These are the letters of Mohammed Mrabet which were first published in 'Stroker' magazine by Irving Stettner and now available to a wider audience. This is a project Irving and I talked about for years. Unfortuately, Irving passed away on January 16, 2004. The forward of the book is written by him. Mohammed Mrabet, translated by Paul Bowles, is the author of fourteen books. Paul Bowles is best known for his first book, 'The Sheltering Sky' (1949). Irving Stettner is mostly known for publishing 'Stroker' magazine; the only magazine Henry Miller wrote for, during the last two years of his life.
